Cut to the chase.

Most viewers browse on mobile. If your title is too long, the most important part of your hook gets cut off. Use this tool to stay in the "Safe Zone."

The "60 Character" Rule

YouTube technically allows 100 characters, but that doesn't mean you should use them all. In search results and sidebar suggestions, anything after character 60–70 vanishes behind an ellipsis.

The first 30 characters are the most valuable. Ensure your hook and primary benefit are at the very beginning so they are visible on every device.

Title Strategy FAQs

What if my title is too long?

It won't hurt SEO, but it will hurt **CTR**. If viewers can't understand the hook because it's cut off, they won't click. Stay under 65 for max safety.

Is shorter always better?

Not necessarily. "My Vlog" is too short—it lacks a hook. Aim for **Descriptive but Concise**. 40–60 characters is the "Sweet Spot."
